The Sisters in Law Fund was established in April 2016 to support programs and causes that develop the professional and leadership potential of African-Americans. It is managed by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and the Advisory Committee charged with directing the development and distribution of the funds raised.
Contributing members are given access to a nominating form to make recommendations on organizations or causes that should be considered as our fund recipient. The top three applications received will be presented to the financial contributors of the Sisters in Law fund to vote on. We recommend a donation of at least $100 and any amount is appreciated.
For the 2020-2022 funding season, priority will be given to causes that support the fight against police brutality, racial inequities, and systemic disparities in the legal system.
The secure donation portal below allows you to make a one-time contribution to the Sisters in Law Fund giving circle.
